As follows are the minor hockey reports submitted to the News over the past week.
INITIATION: The Picture Butte Mighty Knights came out on the winning end in Warner over the weekend. Ethan Slomp, Brody Braun and Jake Roggensack played strong in net. Braun got the shutout in the second period. Aaron Molenaar got two goals and two assists. Caden Heins was good for three. Keelyn Currie and Jake Roggensack both got two goals. Roggensack also got an assist. Tyler Maslen and Brody Braun added one each to the score. The final score was 11-7.

The Coaldale Copperheads closed out the 2009/10 season, as the team failed to beat out the Medicine Hat Cubs in the first round of the playoffs.

It was another busy weekend of hockey action, as local teams took to the ice. The following is this week’s report.
INITIATION:
The Picture Butte Mighty Knights won their game against Raymond this weekend. Eugenio Sagaon and Caden Heins played well in net. Tyler Maslen and Caden Heins each got a hat trick. Ryan Holm was good for one. Caden Heins and Riley McCloud each had an assist. Congratulations to Karsen Haney and Brody Braun for getting the first goals of their minor hockey careers.
