A Coaldale driver has been charged with impaired driving in the City of Lethbridge.
On Sunday, May 2 at approximately 9:39 p.m. Lethbridge Regional Police received a report that a vehicle had collided with a stop sign and a fence along the 600 block of 11 Street South before fleeing the scene. Police subsequently located the suspect vehicle along the 200 block of 13 Avenue South and following investigation the driver was arrested and charged. Timothy Alan Neufeld, 55, of Coaldale, is charged with impaired driving, driving over .08 and dangerous driving. He was also issued a ticket for failing to remain at the scene of an accident. Neufeld is scheduled to appear in court June 23 to answer to the charges. Police are also looking into the theft of a bicycle which also occurred on May 2. Culprits stole a women’s bicycle from a home along the 1000 block of 22 Avenue in Coaldale. The bike is a white/grey RCA mountain bike with an attached child carrier. |
