With the end of another golf league season on the horizon Butte Motors still has the lead in the Picture Butte seniors league.
With 161 points the team is seven points ahead of second place G and E Insurance. The next three placings are within two points of each other with Quintus Financial/Ray Reid in third with 136 points, College Ford Lincoln in fourth with 134 and Simpson Plumbing in fifth with 132 points.
The bottom of the pile has McDonald Nissan with 108, Spring Butte Dairy with 94 and The Tire Shop with 81.
Last Thursday’s action saw Noel McGarry post low gross with a 39 and Herb Miyashita with low net with a 31.
Low team net was a tie at 59 between Jim Kulka, Brian Ward, Frank Lavlis and Stan Brecka for G and E Insurance and Gary Drake, Cor Ouwerkerk, Glen Meyers and Marv Lipka for The Tire Shop.
In last Tuesday’s round Brecka had low gross with a 39 and Bernie Schikowski had low net with a 28. Low team net was Butte Motors with a 60 from Frank Kostka, McGarry, Clarence Beler and Leo Vanden Heuvel.
