The Coaldale Copperheads took home four of six points on the road this past weekend.
In Stettler Friday night the Snakes downed the Lightning 4-2.
Veteran goalie Danny wilks was solid in net as he turned aside 35 shots with the Copperheads retaliating with 38.
Scoring for Coaldale were Colby Murray with two while Chris Petty and Dillon Houghton with one each.
Saturday night the Copperheads were in Red Deer to take on the Vipers.
After getting up 3-0 after the first period the Vipers clawed their way back to an eventual 5-4 victory.
Wilk was solid in net with 49 shots fired his way, while Coaldale replied with 30.
Lomond natives dominated the Copperhead scoring with Clay Tilleman and Murray scoring once while Ethan Hendricks bulging the twine twice in a losing cause.
Sunday afternoon the Copperheads headed north for a tilt with the Ponoka Stampeders. the road weary crew ground out a 3-1 win with rookie Scott Yanota stopping 19 shots for the win.
Coaldale replied with 37 shots with Ty odland scoring once and Darcy Osmond tallying twice with Hendricks adding two assists.
This wrapped up a great weekend for Hendricks who had a great offensive effort as well as key penalty killing that paced the Copperheads to their four point weekend.
Looking ahead to this weekend, the Copperheads will try to hang on to their third place ranking with a road game on Friday night, Jan. 27 against Okotoks at 8 p.m. , then at home against the High River Flyers Saturday, Jan. 28 at 8:30 p.m. at the Coaldale Sportsplex.
