Issue Sixteen: Border Security
An independent Alberta will need secure borders. All highways providing motor vehicle access to Alberta will require border security and customs offices, some staffed 24/ 7/ 365, while others, when closed, must be secure until open hours. Some rural roads into other provinces and to the NWT will have to be removed and closed for security purposes if border security offices are not built and operated on them. All airports will need customs and border security offices for all flights into Alberta. All rivers and lakes having an Alberta boundary crossing them must be patrolled and secure from illegal immigration and smuggling.
Question 16(a)—How much will it cost to establish, equip, and to staff offices for customs and border security for all roads, highways, airports and border waterways for an independent Alberta?
Question 16(b)—What will be the annual ongoing cost to operate all the customs and border security services described above?
At this point I re-state that my original letter stating 19 issues and 36 questions was first sent to the separatists Nov. 15, 2025, and was sent a second time on Feb. 15, 2026, both times sent to the mailing address listed on their internet page. I have not yet received an answer to the 36 questions.
