Henry Doeve has announced he’s running for Mayor of Coaldale in the October 20, 2025 election. Doeve is a long-time resident and retired dairy farmer, with deep roots in this community.

Doeve spent 37 years running a successful dairy farm just outside Coaldale and later served for a decade as a Lethbridge County Councillor and Deputy Reeve.

He’s also led community projects like the Link Pathway Society, connecting Coaldale and Lethbridge.

Doeve says his campaign is about keeping leadership real. 

“Leadership goes beyond the lens,” Doeve explains. “It’s not about photos or prestige, it’s about accountability, fairness, and real results for our town.”

He believes Coaldale deserves fair development, not favouritism. Doeve promises to put an end to back-room deals, make decision-making more transparent, and keep the playing field level for everyone.

Protecting Coaldale’s character is also central to his plan.

“We need smart growth that supports our community, not sprawl that changes it,” said Doeve.
