Deb Florence announces election bid for Coalhurst Mayor

Coalhurst is built on incredible people, strong values and a spirit of community you don’t find just anywhere. My family and I are proud to call this town home. I believe in Coalhurst and know we can do even better.

As Coalhurst mayor, I will focus on what matters most: supporting programs and services that help families and seniors thrive, including housing across the lifespan and thoughtful planning so people can stay rooted here. I will back local businesses, attract new businesses and ensure there is land and opportunity for development all while protecting the small-town character that makes Coalhurst special.

I believe in open government and honest communication. Decisions should be clear, taxpayer dollars should be used responsibly and leadership should be accountable.

This is about more than politics. It is about building a safe, welcoming and vibrant community where neighbours look out for each other and every resident feels they belong. My approach is grounded in common sense, fiscal responsibility and integrity. Progress with purpose is what will move our town forward.
