Coaldale residents can help recognize a person, business or non-profit organization that makes a difference in the community.

The Coaldale Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 44th Annual Awards and Appreciation Banquet in partnership with the Town of Coaldale, on Feb. 7, 2026 and are now accepting nominations for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations that have demonstrated outstanding achievement in 2025.

The deadline for nominations is Nov. 28 at 4 p.m.

“The business awards are more than just an evening of recognition—they’re a celebration of the people and organizations whose commitment keeps Coaldale strong, connected, and full of opportunity,” said Robert Woolf, president of the Coaldale Chamber of Commerce. “Their efforts fuel the growth and vitality of our community, and it’s an honour to shine a spotlight on their achievements.”

The evening is considered a prestigious event that celebrates the outstanding contributions of individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations that make Coaldale a vibrant and thriving community, and is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate their impact.

Nominations are open in several categories, which they will recognize during the awards banquet, including Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Customer Service, Group Citizens, and a Special Tribute, Athlete of the Year, Art or Recreation Leader of the Year, Community Artist of the Year,  Environmental Excellence Award and Youth Citizen of the Year.

Town of Coaldale Mayor Jack Van Rijn noted the chamber’s leadership role in bringing the community together and their valuable work in highlighting the contributions of local residents, businesses and community organizations.

“These awards are an important reminder of the dedication and service that strengthen our town. I encourage residents to take a few minutes to nominate someone who has made a difference – whether it is a business, a volunteer, an artist, a youth leader, or a community group, your nomination ensures their efforts are recognized and celebrated,” said Van Rijn. “Attending the awards evening is a meaningful way to support and applaud the individuals and organizations whose hard work and commitment help build a stronger Coaldale. It is a celebration of the values and achievements that make our community proud.”
