Smith, Wright holding town hall with pre-submitted questions

Cypress-Medicine Hat MLA Justin Wright and Brooks-Medicine Hat MLA and Premier Danielle Smith are holding a joint constituency town hall in Medicine Hat later this month.

The two Medicine Hat MLAs will host their constituents at Hidgon Hall at the Medicine Hat Stampede Grounds on Saturday, Feb. 21. The event will last from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

The town hall offers constituents the opportunity to hear directly from MLAs and ask questions about the pressing issues facing the city and region.

The two MLAs will be taking pre-submitted questions using a form available at https://forms.office.com/r/SytpdUCSmr.

They will also take questions from the floor if time permits.

It will be Smith’s second appearance in the constituency this month, after she appeared as the guest of honour at a fundraising event in Brooks on Monday night.

Both Smith and Wright are among the 24 UCP MLAs currently facing recall petitions. The signature collection periods for both Smith and Wright are approaching in March, with deadlines on Mar. 10 and 23, respectively.

Two NDP MLAs are also facing recall petitions.
