Town of Coalhurst
The Town of Coalhurst announced late last week that registration is open for the 2026 Miners Days Parade.
This year, the parade will take place on Saturday, July 25, immediately following a community pancake breakfast.
Entry to the parade is free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Community groups, organizations, businesses, government officials and municipalities, and individual residents who would like to take part in the parade can find all the event details, parade rules and regulations, and safety information on the Town’s website at Coalhurst.ca/MinersDays.
EVENT DETAILS
8:00 – 10:00 AM: Town Council Pancake Breakfast with South Country Co-op at Coalhurst Community Centre (527 50 Avenue).
8:00 – 9:30 AM: Parade lineup and registration on the north side of Coalhurst High School, along 55th Avenue (see map below).
9:45 – 10:15 AM: Judging of parade entries (note: entries not registered before 9:15 AM will not be included in the judging process).
10:30 AM: Parade starts.
JUDGING CATEGORIES
– Best overall entry
– Children’s entry (decorated bikes, Girl Guides, Scouts, etc.)
– Commercial float
– Municipal float
– Vehicle entry (classic, antique, unique and agricultural)
– Group entry (non-profit group, animals, musical, etc.)
