It was a night to remember as the Picture Butte and District Chamber of Commerce gathered with special guests, local businesses, organizations and residents to recognize some of the town’s outstanding contributors, during its annual “Best of Butte” Awards.

The event, held Oct. 17 in the Kleeman Hall at Coyote Flats Pioneer Village was celebrated as part of Small Business Week, October 20-24.

The evening featured cocktails, a catered meal with entertainment, and an awards ceremony that recognized local businesses, organizations and people in several categories, including Best Overall Customer Service, Best Farm and Agriculture Business, Best Food Service, Best Non-Profit Organization, Overall Best Business of the Year, Best Retail and Consumer Goods and the 2025 Citizen of the Year.

“What an incredible evening we shared at the 2025 Best of Butte Awards Night. On behalf of the Picture Butte and District Chamber of Commerce, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners and finalists,” said chamber president Eva Penner. “Your dedication, innovation, and commitment to excellence are what makes Picture Butte such a vibrant and thriving community.”

She said the celebration wasn’t just about awards—it was about honoring the people and businesses who go “above and beyond every day to make Picture Butte a better place to live, work, and grow.”

“Each nominee represented the very best of what our community has to offer, and we are proud to recognize your impact,” she said, while thanking the event sponsors, partners, volunteers, and everyone who made the evening possible. “Your support brings this event to life and allows us to shine a spotlight on local success stories,” added Penner.

As Penner noted the importance of reflecting on the special night of celebration and hoped that it would also inspire people to keep supporting one another, shopping local, and championing the talent and heart found in Picture Butte.

One of the evenings recipients was Grandview Cattle Feeders, who was named the  Farm and Agriculture Business of the Year.

“Grandview is honoured to be recognized as the Farm and Agriculture Business of the Year by the Picture Butte and District Chamber of Commerce and M.P. Rachael Thomas,” a Grandview Cattle Feeders representative said in a statement.

“The Vander Heyden family would like to extend our congratulations to the entire Grandview Cattle team.
