Fire ban issued for Lethbridge County

Whereas conditions exist in Lethbridge County that pose a heightened risk of fire spread and extreme fire behaviour due to the warm and dry conditions, Lethbridge County has enacted a fire ban on all open fires in the county, excluding the area operated by the Lethbridge Airport and those fires which are contained in a cooking or heating appliance fueled by heat or gasses.

This declaration is made under the authority of the Lethbridge County Bylaw #1423. Effective as of 10 a.m. July 10.

All active fire permits are cancelled. No new fire permits will be issued until further notice. Please visit albertafirebans.ca for updates.
