Logan Street road and sanitary sewer upgrades begin in Shaughnessy this month

As part of this year’s capital budget, Lethbridge County is upgrading critical infrastructure in the hamlet of Shaughnessy. 

Beginning in early August, construction will take place on Logan Street between 2nd and 3rd Street.

This project includes work on the aging sanitary sewer line, the roadway and enhancing parking next to the park. These upgrades will improve the longevity of this infrastructure as well as the overall function of this key area in the community. 

Construction is anticipated to be complete by mid-October, weather permitting.

During this time, there will be road closures and detours in place on Logan Street. Temporary fencing will also be installed around excavated areas for the public’s safety. Construction equipment will remain on site throughout the duration of the project. Access to the Shaughnessy Community Hall and community mailboxes will be maintained.
