On Aug. 8, events get underway with a beer gardens starting at 4 p.m. with hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks and pop being served. At 8 p.m. Dory Rossiter and The Weathermen will provide the evening’s entertainment.
A loonie breakfast kicks off the festivities Aug. 9 at 9 a.m. at the Coalhurst Community Centre. A parade will follow at 11 a.m. The parade starts at the Coalhurst High School and goes east on 6 Street, west on 51 Avenue and north on 2 Street and ends back at the high school.
At noon, Party in the Park gets rolling at Miners Park. Party in the Park features a show and shine, which runs all afternoon. There will also be a beer gardens from 12-11 p.m. with the Rocky Mountain Cloggers at 1 p.m., followed by other live entertainment throughout the day.
For the kids, the Party in the Park features bouncy castles and bumper balls, Beckaboo Balloons, face painting, a petting zoo and Parker Parties will feature carnival favourites sno-cones, popcorn and cotton candy.
Rock Lake Colony will be holding a Farmers’ Market at 1:30 p.m.
The two-day event is great family entertainment for young and old and welcomes residents from Lethbridge County and surrounding area.
