In the summer, Lethbridge County communities celebrate history with local events and activities. Residents share a commonality with these events and activities — everyone and anyone is a part of the community.
One aspect of these events and activities are volunteers. Without volunteers, these community events and activities would not be successful and surely would not be able to be put on without their help.
So, thank you volunteers. You make celebrating the county and its communities a possibility. And for those volunteers perhaps becoming tired and ready to bid farewell to volunteering — it’s time for other community members to step up and lend a helping hand.
It does indeed take a village, to not only raise its children, but also to celebrate a community’s history and some of its traditions.
Perhaps this summer, county residents and community members can get involved with their community by giving of their time, even if it’s just for a few hours. Your community will be grateful.
