Mark your calendars: Bishop’s Dinner being held Oct. 11

The Bishop’s Dinner will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, starting at 5 p.m. at the Lethbridge Exhibition West Hall.

We are looking for sponsors who are in business, farms and feedlots. We will continue to sell tickets and will be at the back of the church after Mass at St. Ambrose, except the weekend of Sept, 14 & 15, and will be at St. Catherine’s on Sept. 8 after the 11 a.m. Mass. We will then hand out packages for prospective sponsors.

Net proceeds will go to the different Southern Alberta Food Banks and the Holy Spirit School District’s food programs, including Food Banks and Separate Schools in Coaldale and Picture Butte.

When I was growing up there were no food banks or had I the luxury to bring an apple or orange to school.

Today there is an abundance of various fruit. It is better to give than to receive.

Gentlemen could wear business suits and ladies could wear their best Sunday outfit. Black ties are optional.

The Knights of Columbus are requested to wear their blazer to match their membership degree showing the Crest on the left side of their suit.

We have a basket for cash donations if you choose not to attend the dinner but still wish to support this fundraiser – donate what you can.
