St. Catherine’s School honours top students

With a new school year well underway, students who excelled in the previous school year were recently honoured at St. Catherine’s School in Picture Butte.

The Top Academic awards were presented to Brooklynn Rudelich for Grade 7, Porfirio Rocha and Jared Witdouck for Grade 8 and to Amanda Johnson and Shaylin Vogel for Grade 9.

The Improved Academic Standing awards were presented to Nicolas Hurtado Rivas for Grade 7, to Markus Renning for Grade 8 and to Logan Middleton for Grade 9.

Top awards were also presented at each grade level for the various subject areas.

At the Grade 9 level the top award in Language Arts went to Amanda Johnson with honorable mention for Brooklyn Vogel and Shaylin Vogel. In Math it went to Brooklyn Vogel with honorable mention for Amanda Johnson and Shaylin Vogel.

In Science the award went to Amanda Johnson and Shaylin Vogel with honorable mention for Brooklyn Vogel. In Social the award went to Amanda Johnson and Shaylin Vogel with honorable mention for Calvin Holthe and Geni Witdouck.

In Religion/Health the top award for the girls went to Shaylin Vogel with honorable mention to Karlyn Groenenboom and Geni Witdouck. For the boys it went to Scott Bergen Henengouwen with honorable mention to Calvin Holthe.

For Physical Education the top girls were Amanda Johnson, Brooklyn Vogel and Shaylin Vogel with honorable mention to Geni Witdouck. For the boys the top award went to Logan Middleton with honorable mention to Scott Bergen Henengouwen and Calvin Holthe.

At the Grade 8 level the top award in Language Arts went to Porfirio Rocha with honorable mention to Jared Witdouck . For Math the award went to Porfirio Rocha with honorable mention for Jared Witdouck. For Science Porfirio Rocha took the top award and honorable mention went to Jared Witdouck.

The Social award went to Porfirio Rocha with honorable mention for Jared Witdouck. The Religion/Health award for the girls went to Shalom Vanden Dungen with honorable mention to Deanna Altenhofen. For the boys the top award went to Porfirio Rocha and Jared McCloud with honorable mention for Jared Witdouck.

The Physical Education award for the girls went to Deanna Altenhofen and Shalom Vanden Dungen with honorable mention to Hannah Irwin. For the boys it went to Jared Witdouck with honorable mention to Jared McCloud.

At the Grade 7 level the top award for Language Arts went to Brooklynn Rudelich with honorable mention to Tasha Reiter and Daisy Teneycke. The Math award went to Shalyn Witdouck and honorable mention to Kyle Davies and Tasha Reiter. The Science award went to Brooklynn Rudelich with honorable mention for Tasha Reiter.

The Social top award went to Brooklynn Rudelich with honorable mention for Kyle Davies. The Religion/Health award for girls went to Lexi Witdouck with honorable mention for Tasha Reiter. For the boys it went to Kevin Witdouck with honorable mention to Kyle Davies.

For Physical Education the award for the girls went to Tasha Reiter with honorable mention for Nicole Elaschuk and Vanessa Irvine. For the boys it went to Kevin Witdouck with honorable mention for Kyle Davies.
