Unlawful to operate equipment for snow clearing on county roads

Lethbridge County Public Works are reminding rural home owners not to operate equipment such as graders or plows for the purpose of snow removal on county road Right of Ways. This is an unlawful act.
Lethbridge County understands situations can arise, where roads become impassable and circumstances can change quickly with blowing and drifting conditions, making situations challenging for citizens. According to Lethbridge County, the county asks for patience in these circumstances. The county ranks the routes based on public safety and need with school and bus routes being a priority.
