Martha Careful is going to run for council and get rich.

It’s always hard to find candidates willing to work so hard and sacrifice so much time, for the community.

She will be delighted to attend meetings for local, county and provincial committees, haggle for hours to get the best deal for her citizens, and attend all the boring personal appearances she’s invited to with a smile plastered on her face.

At the end of her term she will figure out that for all the time she put in, she earned exactly 33 cents an hour.

So much for getting rich Martha!
