St. Cat’s moving online following COVID-19 diagnosis

Grades 6-9 will be moving online at St. Catherine’s School following two cases of COVID-19.The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division announced March 18 that due to the number of teachers required to quarantine at the Picture Butte school, a few grades will be moving to online classes until March 30.

As of March 18, this marks 15 active cases across five school sites in Lethbridge and Picture Butte.

This also marks the isolation of approximately 490 staff and students.

The division is working closely with AHS to ensure all necessary measures are in place to protect students, staff, parents/guardians of students and any visitors or volunteers, and would like to remind people to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, and the Alberta Health daily checklist should be completed each day prior to attending school.

If symptoms of COVID-19 listed on the Alberta Health daily checklist are identified, students and staff are asked to fill out the online Alberta Health Services COVID-19 self-assessment.
