Holy Spirit Catholic School Division has just been informed of a case of COVID-19 at St. Joseph School in Coaldale.
According to a recent media release, all close contacts have been informed and are required to quarantine – while following the directives provided by Alberta Health Services (AHS). “Out of respect for those impacted and in accordance with AHS guidelines, further details about members of the community who may test positive for COVID-19 cannot be disclosed,” it was stated.
As of May 1, the division is directly impacted by 11 active cases (two at Father Leonard Van Tighem (Lethbridge), six at Our Lady of the Assumption School (Lethbridge), one at St. Francis Junior High School, (Lethbridge), one at St. Joseph School (Coaldale) and one at St. Michael’s School (Pincher Creek)), requiring the quarantine of roughly 270 staff and students.
