The Picture Butte Firefighter’s Association held the 59th annual Valentine’s Ball Fundraiser over the weekend, raising $28,683.50.
Thanks to countless donations from local businesses, the sold-out night included a wildly successful live auction, prime rib dinner, and a DJ for the dance portion of the night.
The association announced, “Without the support of our amazing community the night would not have been half the success that it was. Thanks to all you amazing people, we had a record breaking year.”
Friday’s event was the first time the Valentine’s Day Ball was held since February 2020, right before COVID-19. The event was subsequently postponed in 2021 and 2022 before returning with high demand.
In the weeks leading up, the Association announced the venue had reached fire capacity and was not able to accommodate additional patrons, despite reporting a high volume of interest in the event. The association also indicated, “we will definitely be looking at alternative options to include more patrons for future events.”
With the construction of phase one of the firehall expansion well underway, funds will help keep up with equipment needs and upgrades.
