The Town of Coaldale’s wildly successful community registration event is returning Sept. 12.

Previously known as Fall Mass Registration, the Fall Community Meetup & Registration event is held annually and facilitates connection between various community groups, organizations, and committees in Coaldale.

The event provides attendees with the opportunity to learn more about what is going on in their community and provides an opportunity and communal space for organizations seeking new membership to hold registration. In addition to registration opportunities, the event will include information booths, and activities for the duration of the event.

The event will also include a Pickleball clinic, hosted by the Coaldale Pickleball Club where attendees can earn more about the fastest growing sport in North America.

Once again in 2023, the Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Coaldale will be sponsoring free pizza and refreshments for those in attendance.

Community Services coordinator for the Town of Coaldale, Clayton Varjassy said, “The goal of the event is to bring together the various community groups, organizations and committees that serve Coaldale to educate residents on the opportunities available to them, and if applicable, facilitate registrations. It’s an excellent opportunity for people to come and learn about what’s available in our community.”

Over 20 organizations are expected to take part in the community event, and include:

• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge and District

• Coaldale & District Emergency Services

• Coaldale Chamber of Commerce

• Coaldale Curling Granite Club

• Coaldale Enforcement Services

• Coaldale Figure Skating Club

• Coaldale Fun Cribbage

The free event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Eastview Park at 1825 10 Street, Coaldale.

“The value that these groups, organizations and committees add is immeasurable – they’ve helped shape Coaldale into the vibrant, growing community that it is today,” Varjassy added.
