It’s back! After a brief departure in 2023 from the standard Midnight Madness format, the event returns bigger and brighter than ever for 2024. The fun takes place on November 29.
Eva Penner, Picture Butte & District Chamber of Commerce President, explains, “Last year we did the event during the day and afternoon to accommodate other events happening in town. The feedback received was, although it was nice, it was not as effective as the traditional Midnight Madness model. So, we are back to a Friday night with all of the festivities in there – the tree lighting, hayrides, fire pits, and more!”
On the 29th, start shopping for those Christmas deals locally at 3 p.m. Most businesses will be open until 9 p.m. or later. Head to the Gathering Place in time for the 9:30 p.m. tree lighting. During the night enjoy the silent auction in support of the food bank, the makers market at the community centre, hot chocolate and popcorn stands, donuts from Koster’s Bakery, a toy drive, crafts, pictures with Santa, and much more.
Penner is also excited to announce the Chamber’s Small Business Christmas Party.
“We are looking to fill the room,” she shares about the event that is open to both members and non-members alike. If you have yet to plan a Christmas party for your small business, bring the team and spend it with us! Businesses of any size, including single proprietorships, are welcome. Connect and network with other businesses while enjoying an evening of festive cheer.”
The tickets for this event are $65 each and can be purchased on the Chamber website. It includes a delicious dinner catered by Cactus Pub & Grill.
