The Kate Andrews Pride got their first win of the season in their home opener last week.

The Pride came from behind to beat Picture Butte 9-8. Kate Andrews starting pitcher Alex Ross went four innings giving up eight runs on three hits with five strikeouts to get the no decision. Brett Wiebe got the win, as he came into the game to start the fifth inning and shut down the defence, not allowing any runs with three strikeouts. Defensively, the Pride struggled to start the game but recovered with a strong defensive effort lead by Colton Ball, with two tough catches in foul territory.

Offensively, Kate Andrews was lead by Landon Harker and Jesse Cajka, both going two for three with a walk and an RBI each. Alex Ross helped his own cause going two for three with three RBIs.
