Battle of the Picture Butte Blades

The Picture Butte Initiation Blades/Jimmy’s Mighty Knights were in Coaldale this past weekend for their final tournament of the season. The four-six year old boys and girls played hard for all four games of the tournament, showing a vast improvement in their skating and stick-handling skills they’ve learned since the beginning of the season.
The Blades would like to thank Coaldale for hosting such a great event.
It was the Battle of the Picture Butte Blades this past weekend, as the two novice teams faced off against each other in the semi-final round of playoffs. The excitement began this past Friday night — seeing the Schooten Blades team winning by a score of 10 to three.
Goals were contributed from Walker Schooten, Max Okubo, Gracen Schooten and Colton Van Rootselaar.
The teams battled it out in a close game this past Saturday morning, with the Schooten Blades coming out victorious with an 11 to nine win.
Goals came from Max Okubo, Walker Schooten, Colton Van Rootselaar, Gracen Schooten, Isaac Medina and Liam Slomp. The Schooten Blades are onto the playoff finals against Raymond. Good luck Blades.
