Copperheads playoffs hit the ice this week

The Coaldale Copperheads ended up with a third-place ranking in the south division of the HJHL, after this weekend’s end regular season action.
Friday night, Coaldale got handed a 7-2 defeat from the Generals in Cochrane.
Saturday night, the Copperheads headed up to Three Hills, where the team earned a 6-5 overtime victory over the Thrashers.
The third-place ranking leaves the Copperheads with 54 points (26-10-2), while first place Cochrane, earned 62 points and second place Okotoks earned 58.
First and second place get a bye into the second round, while the third place Copperheads will face the sixth place High River Flyers in a best of three series starting this week.
The Coaldale squad will host game one Feb. 10 at 8:30 p.m. at the Coaldale Arena.
Game two is in High River Friday night at 8:15 p.m.
Game three (if needed) will be in Coaldale Saturday night at 8:30 p.m.
If successful, the Copperheads will face the Okotoks Bisons in a best of seven division semi-final.
Just a reminder to fans for admission, as game tickets will not be valid.
Cash only at the gate set at Adult $8 and Youth $4.
