Come July 4, many people will be touring across Taber as part of the Taber Communities in Bloom Yard and Garden Tour. This year is the ninth annual edition of the tour, and there are certain to be tons of great yards to see in the community.
“This is our ninth annual tour featuring yards & gardens in and near Taber. We have seven different yards this year, and each one is unique, reflecting the personality and preferences of the homeowner. I can’t recommend a yard, as each is worthy of merit on its own,” explained Geri Reti, chair of the committee for the garden tour.
The tour begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m., and each $20 ticket includes a buffet lunch catered by Knox UCW ladies. The committee is excited to see how many people come to town to see some great yards. While last year’s edition was hit hard by bad weather, they are hoping this year sees a boost in attendance.
“Each year the attendance has increased, up until last year when the day was blustery with showers, as had been forecasted. Hopefully, our attendance will be back up this year,” added Reti.
Tickets are available now and can be purchased in Taber at Johnson’s, Pharmasave or Sunnyside. Outside of Taber, tickets can be purchased at Green Haven, Country Blooms and Broxburn Cafe in Lethbridge. All tickets can be purchased up until July 4.
“We are grateful to have the support of Communities in Bloom, who are very dedicated and work tirelessly to beautify our town,” continued Reti.
