Blades continue with CAHL season

Picture Butte Blade teams have continued to compete in Central Alberta Hockey League action as January rolls on.

U11

The U11 Blades had the weekend off as they prepare for a single game this coming weekend. 

On Jan. 22, the team hits the road to take on Bow Island/Foremost. 

U13 

One game was on tap for the U13 Blades as they welcomed Magrath on Saturday morning. 

No game sheet was available Monday morning. 

U15

In a back and forth weekend, the U15 Blades played in a pair of games this past weekend.

On Saturday night, they were on the road taking on Lethbridge Red which resulted in a lopsided 7-0 win for Butte. Tanner Quinn potted a hat trick for the Blades while Carson Konynenbelt had two goals and an assist, Luka Rudelich had a single goal and an assist, Austin Liebreich had one goal, and Kashton Wolodchenko had one assist. Gavin Johnson was in the crease for Butte.

Sunday saw the Blades host Pincher Creek for a matinee matchup. 

In another high scoring game, Pincher Creek would top Butte with a 12-3 win. Rudelich had two goals, Quinn had a single, while Connor Oostlander and Zarah Sincennes had one assist each. Johnson was back in the net for the Blades and made 37 saves.

The U15 Blades return to the ice this coming weekend for a two-pack of games as they head to Lethbridge on Saturday and Claresholm on Sunday.
