Copperheads strike in away games

Points gained over weekend place Copperheads second in HJHL

It was another humongous weekend for the Copperheads, gaining four needed points.

Sunday’s road trip victory in Strathmore was key for the Snakes to help continue their climb. With the 2-1 win it places the Copperheads in second place of the HJHL currently.

That being said, it is two points behind Okotoks Bisons in first but the Snakes have a one games in hand. This upcoming Friday night the 26th the two of them meet at 8 pm in Okotoks. If you’re looking for competitive hockey, this would be a game to pay the admission to.

Sunday in Strathmore the Copperheads two goals were scored by Tyler Anderson and Levi Anderson. Netminder Nolan Berner was on top of his game once again stopping 32 Bisons shots.

Saturday night the Snakes dominated the Three Hills Thrashers on the road winning 8-2. Thrashers are having a tough year with only one win under their belt. Jedd Horvath earned his first HJHL hat trick. Tyler Anderson and Chase Williamson had deuce goals a piece. As well a single goal contributed from Brandon Langridge. Andrew Suriano was in net stopping 18 shots.

Next regular season home action is this coming Saturday the 27 th against Medicine Hat Cubs at 8:30.

This marks the third last home game to use up those game tickets.

Copperheads league record to date in 29 games is 19 wins, nine losses and two overtime losses.
